Rocket
Rocket is a rotating pallet stretch wrapper based on robotic SCARA technology. It consists of a single, robust column that supports the pre-stretching unit and top presser and can, if required, also carry the top cover application system. The efficiency of this system revolves around the electronic pre-stretching unit that is able to vary continuously the film pre-stretching level. This stretch wrapper can reach a top speed of 130 pallets per hour.

ACMI S.p.A. is an Italian company specialized in the production of high technology bottling and packaging lines. The company, based in Fornovo Taro, in the province of Parma (Italy), started up as a manufacturer of palletisers and depalletisers for the food and beverage industry and went on to specialize in all packaging processes.
Use
The Rocket stretch wrapper, thanks to its ability to mount reels with a height of 1,000 mm, can be installed on medium-high production lines. In fact, the height of the film requires less stretch wrapping turns and, therefore, less pallet rotation speed to obtain high performance. Furthermore, the compact dimensions also make it possible to insert this stretch wrapper into layouts where space is limited. The robotic SCARA technology, which is the basis of the Rocket stretch wrapper, requires minimal maintenance and makes this stretch wrapper suitable for installation on highly automated lines.

The simple construction combined with exceptional strength and the high quality of the materials, make Rocket a high performance stretch wrapper virtually maintenance-free and with low running costs. The search for the pallet height is automatic and the film welding system is “bar against bar” without welding the film on the product. Thanks to the special design of the pre-stretching unit it is possible to create totally customizable stretch wrapping and tensioning programmes.
